Recently, a new MIT study highlighted an important truth: when we overly rely on AI for our creative work, we create something called “cognitive debt.” In other words, the more we let AI do our thinking, the less we exercise our own creative muscles. This has sparked debates—some argue AI is damaging, threatening our intellectual property, and even call its use unethical data etc.

But I believe the conversation is missing a critical point.

The real secret isn’t about choosing AI vs. no AI—it’s about how, when, and for what we choose to use AI. Those who continue to think deeply, question, and create, harness AI as a tool to amplify their abilities, not replace them. The highest performers use AI as a springboard, not a substitute.

From day one at illumi, our vision has been clear: AI should function like Tony Stark's suit – amplifying human capabilities rather than replacing the person inside. The suit without Tony is just an empty shell; Tony without the suit is still a genius.

This philosophy guides everything we do. We focus first on capturing and organizing human knowledge, wisdom, and creativity – then thoughtfully applying AI as an enhancement layer. Our brains remain the irreplaceable engines of innovation, insight, and progress.

From day one, I built illumi on a simple but powerful foundation: human value must remain at the core of our AI era. In a world overflowing with technology, knowledge management and the curation of uniquely human insights are more vital than ever.

And let’s not forget—the greatest achievements in history never happened because of one lone genius. They were born from teamsdiverse groups of people bringing their minds together and building beyond what any one person could achieve.

That’s why we are committed to making it easy to gather and celebrate human knowledge, and only then, add AI as a powerful partner.

In the end, collaboration—among people first, and then with AI—will be the key to any project’s true success.

Let’s remember: our brain is still the most important thing to sustain innovation, create meaning, and move humanity forward.
