Our vision, reflections and direction for 2025

Dear Future illumi,
As we write this on the first morning of 2025, there's a familiar mix of excitement and uncertainty in the air. The world is buzzing with AI breakthroughs, and everywhere we look, we see teams trying to figure out how to work with these new tools. But sitting here at illumi, we can feel we're on the verge of something different – something bigger than just another AI tool or platform.
Here's what we hope we'll accomplish this year:
We hope when you read this in 2026, you'll smile remembering how teams used to work with AI in isolation. By then, the idea of keeping AI insights private should feel as outdated as using email for team chat. We're building illumi to make this transition possible, turning those isolated "aha!" moments into shared discoveries.
This year, we want to see more stories like the one that inspired illumi – where sharing AI approaches leads to unexpected breakthroughs. We hope by 2026, "How did you get AI to do that?" becomes not a question of individual technique, but an invitation to collective discovery.
We promise to stay true to our vision of making AI truly collaborative. When things get challenging (and they will), we'll remember why we started this journey: because we believed that the real power of AI isn't in the algorithms themselves, but in how they help teams think and create together.
To illumi 2026: We hope you're reading this with a smile, knowing that we've helped teams break free from the limitations of private AI chats. We hope you've seen countless "light bulb moments" when teams discovered what's possible when they learn and innovate together with AI.
Most importantly, we hope you remember this moment – when we stood at the beginning of 2025, full of determination to make AI collaboration not just a feature, but a fundamental shift in how teams work together.
